Congratulations to our WEST | Winterguard who finished their season on the podium as Silver Medalists in Colorguard Scholastic A2 at AIA Circuit Championships. Amazing growth for this cast of performers during the 2019 season with both a promotion to the A2 class and medaling at Championships.

Success!!! The West Carteret RC Flyer Team competed in the 1st Annual RC Competition hosted by FRC East and the NC State Engineering & Craven Community College Program. The WCHS RC Flyer team designed and constructed an unmanned remote controlled aircraft to compete in the event. The aircraft was called the PatCat (PBP-76) and featured a midwing design with a taper and dihedral shape. The PatCat flew true and was highly maneuverable! During the Dogfight competition the PatCat stayed true to its name and was able to hover in the air and then dive quickly once a target was identified!
